Hatch Creative was founded by Heather Brown. She is a trained journalist with 15 years experience working in the media industry. Her career has straddled both the worlds of TV and magazine publishing, hence the creation of Hatch Creative.
Heather has spent the past 8 years working as a TV Development Producer for in-house development teams at ITV Studios, NBC and Warner Brothers. Her treatment writing has seen her prepare factual and factual entertainment pitches for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Lifetime, Nat Geo, TLC, SKY, ITVbe, Discovery, TV3, RTE, AOL and Redbull.
Heather has developed up numerous TV shows such as ITV’s Gino D’Acampo’s Italian Escape, Channel 5’s Super Scary Plane Landings and she was the Story Producer on Lifetime’s Dance Mums series and TV3’s reality show Nadia Forde: Chasing the Dream. Her first Director's credit was on Closing Down, a documentary for BBCNI.
Prior to working in TV, Heather spent 7 years working as a Magazine Editor, heading up national health and fitness magazines and editing interiors and lifestyle titles. She was the Publishing Manager for FitPro, the national fitness industry magazine, managing four magazines titles. Heather founded Backflip Gymnastics Magazine, a global printed magazine. She has also worked at Country Life Magazine and Auto Trader magazine. Heather’s career in print journalism began with a stint on a local newspaper and she then worked as an Editorial Assistant on Ireland’s Homes and Interiors magazine.
Heather is also the author of the children’s book How to Improve at Gymnastics. She made the BAFTA Rocliffe shortlist with her comedy script The Motorhomers and was a BBC Taps Finalist for her drama short The Rat Race.
